Internship on Industrial Feeder Protection using Siemens IED - 7SJ80

Description

In electrical power system network, the relays and circuit breakers play a major role in protecting the power system components as well as consumer equipments. The relays should identify the fault and issue the trip to CB to avoid damage to the equipment.  This identification of faults is generally depending on the type of relays such as electromechanical, static and Numerical relays. In utility and industrial electrical power transmission and distribution systems, a numerical relay is a computer-based system with software-based protection algorithms for the detection of electrical faults. These are functional replacements for electro-mechanical relays and may include many protection functions in one unit, as well as providing metering, communication, and self-test functions. In this course, the training on each protection function is available in a typical feeder protection relay (7SJ80) will be provided. After successful completion of this internship, the intern gains the knowledge on
